BA Tango

Throughout their life dancing has always been an important way of their artistic expression. They both have been practising different dance techniques – from jazz ballet to flamenco.

Blaž and Andreja first met while both competing in  latin and ballroom dances. Since they had the same vision and were both completely devoted to dance, they decided to dance together.

After one year of sharing beautiful dance moments together, they discovered Tango Argentino. The moment they have seen it for the first time, they both knew it was their fate; tango was the dance they have been searching for….

Since then Blaž and Andreja always kept searching for the knowledge of Tango Argentino, the history, the music and the dance. During their many stays in Buenos Aires they have worked with old maestros who gave them a wonderful view into the richness of tango as a dance and also insights into its rich tradition.

Blaž and Andreja highly appreciate the tradition of tango but also they are aware of the importance of evolution. That certainly is the reason why for the last few  years they have been predominantly working with the teachers of Tango Nuevo (Gustavo Naveira, Fabian Salas, Mariano Chico Frumboli, Sebastian Arce….). Also the form and the concept of movement of Tango Nuevo is much closer to their previous dance experiences.
